Constant
Despres

Born in 2006 to an Indian mother and a French father, Constant Despres got off to a flying start. Coming from a musical family, he was immersed in an eclectic musical environment from a very early age, listening to Ravi Shankar and Miles Davis as much as Chopin and Wagner. Revealed to the public at the age of 10 on the television program « Prodiges », Constant has since performed in more than 35 festivals, including l’Esprit du Piano, Piano aux Jacobins, Jazz in Marciac, Piano en Valois, Piano Pic, Les Pianissimes, Les Flâneries Musicales de Reims, the Toulouse Festival, and the Comminges Festival.

He has had the opportunity to perform with prestigious ensembles such as the Republican Guard Orchetra, the National Orchestra of the Pays de la Loire, the National Orchestra of Lille, the Orchestra of the Kingdom of Aragon, and the Toulouse Chamber Orchestra. These concerts have taken him to iconic venues like the Halle aux Grains in Toulouse, La Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt, Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Musikverein in Vienna, and the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille, where he performed before an audience of more than 45,000 people.

Convinced that music knows no borders, he formed the duo Rolando & Constant with Cuban jazz pianist Rolando Luna (Buena Vista Social Club). Their concerts, fusing jazz and classical music, have been met with great success. This collaboration led to the album « Doubles Accords », released in 2026 on the L’Esprit du Piano label. He also regularly shares the stage with the internationally renowned mandolinist Julien Martineau and trumpeter Bernard Soustrot, while remaining actively involved in contemporary music through recordings of works by Corentin Apparailly and Christian Lauba.

After graduating with highest honors in piano from the Toulouse Conservatory at the age of 14, he entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) where he studied in the class of Marie-Josèphe Jude and completed his Bachelor's degree with highest honors.
